Pan Gasket Problem

Hello everyone, i installed a new pan gasket in my 55, it had 4 joints on it and i cemented the gasket to the pan like it said, then i attached the rubber and at the joints i put a blob of cement so it wouldn't leak... but it did, and there were two little cork blocks left over that i couldn't figure out. Does anyone know what I did wrong... Please help...Here is a pic of the new gasket.

Thanks

What kind of cement do you mean? Silicone? I know that intake manifold gaskets need to have a blob of silicone on the four corners where the rubber gaskets meet the head surfaces front and rear. Maybe this is the same kind of situation.
