Help my baby died

hi olds friends, i wonder if somebody might be able to help me with my problem. i was driving down the highway (60mph) when the engine just died on me, i already changed the high voltage coil wires and plugs, and checked the fuel pump but still nothing, does anybody have a suggestion about what it could be ? please help me, i can't live without driving my baby daily. it's a 1967 cuttlass town sedan 330 2bbl

Its hard to troubleshoot as it could be many things....Ya need to check the basics. Is it getting fuel? Is it getting spark?...If the engine has high miles it could be the timing chain as well since the cam gear is metal and plastic. This is easy to check....just remove dist. cap and crank the engine. If rotor doesnt spin the timing chain/gear is broken.....

You mentioned high voltage wires, did you put an HEI in it? I've had the ignition module under the rotor go out on me and its like flipping a switch, dies all at once. Motor cranks over just fine but no spark. John

That capacitor or "condensor" is to protect the points and give them some longevity. I am glad you found out your trouble.
