hi folks- i'am getting ready to have my 350 yanked and redone...in a 72 cutlass convert...the one problem is the only motor I have available is a 350 out of a chevy camaro 69...I want to put this in my cutlass(I know sacreledge)so I can still drive it while the olds 350 is being rebuilt....questions are Is this swap doable or is their gonna be alot of cutting and hacking...or what might be the obstacles I'll encounter.....or is it just impossible....thanks.... crank.it

Different motor mount locations, different transmission bellhousing pattern, and I'm sure some other stuff, too. Those were the days before "corperate" engines and each division made their own. I've certainly done my share of low bucks temp fixes, but you might as well be trying to put a Ford engine in.
Sell the Chevy 350 and buy an Olds 350 to "lug" around in until your engine is done. That's still two engine swaps to get one in. Better yet, rebuild the "spare" Olds engine and just swap it once. My $0.02. C.J.
