rear diffriintal convertion to posi

hi evryone i have a regular rear axle on my 76 delta88 i want to convert it to a posi rear end,but i don,t want to spend $600.00 dollars on a convertion kit is thier any other parts i can enterchange with.can i use other gears from another gm model.please let me know if thier is.thanks a bunch.
