1956 324ci oil capacity and fuel pump ?

Wondering what the oil capacity is on a 1956 Olds 324 (in an 88) not including the filter.

Also, I just purchased an NOS fuel pump for the car. The lever arm seems to be real 'tight'. I tryed holding the pump and manipulating the lever but can barely move it. Is this normal? Should I be able to 'pump' the lever by hand?

Thanks!
Warren..

1arunem, welcome to the site

4 quarts without changing the filter 5 with.

The fuel pump should be hard to pump by hand when your holding it. In a vice it is easier. If it pumps easy then then it is shot
