Put a powerglide in it and will run go forward instead of up, off the starting and you'll run quicker.

Talk to Bill Trovato, he'll tell you the same thing.

Sorry but you are wrong. My car 60 foots 1.30-1.31, pretty damn good for a 3250 lb tank. One thing you are forgetting........it's my car and I'll do with it as I want. Face it, it's successful doing what it does.

It was some form of Olds with a SB or BB Chevy. That was only a time trial.

This one is two footing it instead of using the trans brake. Worked really good since it pulled the best 60 ever with a 1.257 . Yee-Fricking-Ha!

Love IT!!!

I have the same Shifter and Air-shifter set-up in my 9 Sec. 442...Loved watching yours grab the gears for Jok. My best 60 was also on Footbrake...go figure...3380 lbs and 1.36...

Keep winning races guys.

I don't want to go off topic, but
I got distracted by the other Olds video that showed up in my related videos....

I guess 9 second races triggers jumping 9 feet in the air

Personally I think your wrong, really think a powerglide is faster in a 3200 pound car? Just so you know whats out there: hard leavin 3600 pound NA cars on a 30x9s go high 1.2 60 foots, and not one of them tie the front down or run glides, just sayin.....

That video Jeffro posted isn't a very nice comparison.

Powerglide will stop all that wheel standing drama, if you are going up, you are slowing down your forward momentum.
PowerGlide will allow the convertor to do it's job, multiply torque.
Powerglide use's less horsepower.

Nice pass Nick, sorry I said anything.
It's his car, doesn't matter what I think.

This clearly isn't your father's Oldsmobile! Where is the cigarette lighter? You look extremely comfortable racing that car. No wonder you put down such good times. You make it look easy. Very professional, very cool!!!!!!

I am not driving the car, Jok drives it for me. I had to park the car 4 years ago because of health issues. Asked Jok to drive and has ever since. The videos brought me back to "the good old days" and brought back the rush and excitement to me.

I had a 9 sec Camaro when I owned my speed shop. I wouldn't drive it either. That thing scared the hell out of me. It was trapping above 140mph. If something went wrong, well you know. Let the guys who can drive, drive. I have three kids, can't check out just yet. So I understand what you're doing.

If I remember correctly (been almost 30 years) I took my car off the street and ran it.......it turned a 14.10. It had a Performer, a 600 Holley, Comp 268 (?) cam, small tube headers, stock converter and a Chevy 10 bolt with 3.55 gears. I then decided to go racing. Not 13s but close.

Great vids nick. Sucks having your own car torn apart in the shop and then watching your youtube posts how depressing. Keep up the great sb hard work.
