72 Cutlass Wiper Switch

Hey folks! My wipers wipe just fine--so good in fact, they won't stop! I can switch from Lo to Hi and they speed up, but when I move the switch to OFF, they just keep on wiping. I've pulled the fuse and it is not a big deal since I never drive the car in the rain, but it has been bugging me for 2 years. If anyone has the dash switch for a 72 Cutlass they are willing to part with, please email me at memfisman@aol.com with the price you require.

I don't think it's a switch problem. Usually when wipers do that there's a motor problem.

Arrghhh! I guess I'll have to start replacing parts until one of the two fixes the problem, unless you know of a better way to diagnose this. I have a couple leads on a replacement switch, thanks to the guys here.

Thanks

I've got your switch if you decide you still need it.

Did you try grounding the wiper motor? Often the cause.
