Late 1964 or 1965 330 heads needed....

Need a pair of late 1964 or 1965 330 V-8 heads. I have 1964 early style heads w/rocker shaft and want to switch to late style with stamped steel rockers and pivots...

I've got 1965,66 and 67 330 heads but I'm out in Oregon. If you don't find something closer let me know. John

I've sold several sets of head and prefer to have them hot tanked and magged before shipping. My favorite machine shop will do that for $20 a set so that's cheap insurance that both myself and the buyer will be happy with the transaction. I know there's other people on this site with heads, if you don't get a good offer in a reasonable length of time let me know and I'll see what it would cost to ship a set to you. John

The heads he wants are 2's.

Dont throw out those 1's. If the rockers and shafts are any good there's always people looking for them.

Several years back a guy with a late build 64 got dinged at Nationals for #2 heads. The "1964 expert" judge said the engine had been swapped. This was a one-family car with beaucoup documentation.

Then I laid the July 64 Dealer Tech Bulletin on him...

Smile Late '64-'65 heads

I'm fairly certain that I have a pair of #2s; I'll check and let you know. I'm on the east coast, near Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks, Bob.

Not getting rid of #1's or any of the original 2bbl. stuff. Getting 2's to run 4bbl. set up for a while when engine is rebuilt [ 3-broke rings ] and later on will put back as original.....Hard to find # 1's but the scrap, salvage guys have lots of 2's. Would rather deal with members than scrap yard as you have greater chance to get quality replacement parts.

I've got a set of #2's from a '65 Jetstar 88 I stripped 3 years ago. Engine ran o.k. but smoked the blues - big ridge (rare for an Olds) and some broken rings. I tore the engine apart and everything has been stored inside ever since. I can also hot tank and magnuflux. $100 plus the shipping if your other leads don't pan out. I am a bit far away in SE Wisconsin. Thanks, John.
