I am looking for a Delco alternator # 1100627. This is the early one from the 60`s. jcpedersen@q.com

Is this alt stamped on the front or rear part of the alt?

This might be a long shot, but try Gen-Star Electric in Glendale, AZ.
(623) 939-2202 and ask for Gary. They've been around a long time, rebuild alternators and starters and just might have the old Delco core you're looking for. Good Luck!

War eagle, your problem is solved if you correspond with stellar, he is an alternator specialist, I strongly urge you to do so.

I looked hi and lo no alt with that # I could have sworn I saw one not to long ago with a rear stamp, but it didn't show up. Maybe later. I'll keep it in mind. If it is a rear stamp it will be from late1962 or early1963.
If any one can come up with a list of alt starter and gen numbers that might be wanted or guide me to a site where I can find them I would be very grateful. I have 2 buildings with 100 shelves some barrels and a floor full of alts starters and generators. Not all of it is old, but a lot of it is. I am trying to condense into 1 building, so something has to go. I would hate to scrap something that would be valuable to someone and me. It brings tears to my eyes when I think of all the needed numbers that I have scrapped over the years. Thanks Mark
