Arrow FS: 1971 OEM Cutlass Supreme hood

Just replaced the EOM hood on my '71 CS with a repop fiberglass W25 hood, so I no longer need my original one. Hood is silver, non-louvered model, I believe will fit at least 1971 and 1972 Cutlass Supremes, probably 1970 cars too. Does not have chrome trim on windshield side or up front above grilles.

Asking $150 OBO plus buyer pays shipping. I have it all boxed up now, so pics are what it looked like when on the car.

PM me if interested.

Thanks. Got it from Tamraz off eBay, not cheap either, around $550 before shipping which was another $150. It's all fiberglass but solid and very reinforced where the hinges mount. in fact it's so solid it prolly weighs more than the stock steel hood , and it might well be steel reinforced.

W-25 Hood

How's the fit? Did you have to use diff hinges? Did all the molding go back on?

Yes, Tamraz wasn't particularly quick to ship it. As I recall it took about 2+ months for me to receive it.

Can't speak to the quality of that other seller as I have no experience with them. However, reading their listing gives me pause as they make a big sales pitch for low tension hood springs... which the oddly sell separately. What I can tell you for sure though is that my hood is NOT lighter than the OEM steel one, and the factory hood springs work just fine. The bit about "The standard hinge springs cannot be used with a fiberglass hood, which have a much lower weight and require a matching hinge spring. LTDFiberglass offers a range of low tension springs that are specially designed for our lightweight hoods." makes me wonder if it's light because it's cheaply made.

Anyone on here got one of those Glasstek fiberglass hoods?

Fit is excellent except at the rear of the hood, which is about 1/2 inch higher than stock. Looking at pics of other 442's,this looks to be a common thing. Using stock hinges and springs. Chrome molding on the front (above grills) and at rear (by windwhield) came off old hood and fit new hood just fine.
