What can you tell me about that 425, Serial numbers on the block heads, etc. Also where are you located.

Hi,
I'm in Fenelon Falls Ontario, about 2 hrs north east of Toronto. Can you tell me where to find the serial numbers, the motor is currently in the and running.
Thanks Bruce

Bruce, if you've not got a bite on the front disc brakes you may want to create another post for just that item. In the past couple years there have been several parts wanted ads for both Toro and Delta disc brakes, but since your thread starts saying you have 1966 parts people may not expect the 1967 brakes. Just a thought... John

Thanks for the info John, I'll put up another thread. I never checked the Delta to see if it has disc or not LOL.

How's the front clip for rust? Could it all be used? Meaning the front fenders, hood, header panel, rad cradle etc.
I am in London ON, a bit of a drive, but, not all that bad.
If these parts are usable, how much would you want for them?
PM me if you'd like.

I think I've got the motor sold, I'll let you know if it does not got thru. It runs like a top, does not smoke, knock or tick, sounds better than my fresh 464 Buick LOL.
I'll keep in touch.

The front fenders and inner fenders are shot. The hood is great, the rad cradle. I'm trying to get the front clip off to see the rad cradle. What's a header panel?
Thanks Bruce

The very front nose of the car. Where the headlights are. I am not an expert on these cars, so there may not even be one. I am just thinking of a nice '66 Toro that I recently saw that needed a front clip. Basically. I was just trying not to miss anything on the front clip. How shot are the fenders? Beyond repair?

Hi Duane,
The header panel is in good shape, I can get pictures when I get it off, the front fenders anywhere around the wheel opening is rusted thru. The inner fenders I would think are the same. I can get you pictures.
Thanks Bruce

they are bad but if your good with metal anything can be repaired.I would say that is better than the 67 toro in a nearby junkyard the pass fender has a large section cut out I figure they needed the antenna or somthing lol.though I didn;t get a picture of that side.I would like to rebuild the 67 but it would cost alot of money.it needs a replacement trunk lid the pass fender would have to be repaired or replaced the interior is a mess and the rear axel is gone.would be fun to make it a rear wheel drive and confuse people though.

The lower section of the fenders are in good shape I'll know more when I get them off, they might be good enough to make a lower patch panel. Then for someone who's talented they might be able to save the whole fender. The big problem with this car is it sat on a dirt floor for 20 years with flat tires. Everything underneath from the firewall back to the rear bumper needs replacing.

if that is the case if you used your car and the 67 in the junkyard you could make one nice toro. That is a lot of work though.

Hi, That's something can't answer, I would not think so , the Toro's front wheel drive, you need the lower control arms, rotors, calipers, master cylinder, and proportioning valve to make the brakes adapt to a drum Toro.

I'd try Scarebird Brakes, http://www.scarebird.com/, they make adapter plates for just about anything, they incorporate standard GM parts that you can buy off the shelf. My 64 Skylark uses there adapter pates, then 91 Citation calipers and shoes, 78 ElCamino rotors and 81 Caprice flex lines. They tell you what you need to make the conversion.
Your Delmont looks sharp!

thank you I have other pics in the photo gallery.I have to admit I was amused that scarbird came up I have them as one of the people on ebay that shows updates and new items when they post them.I talked to them brifly once but didn't follow through.I think they would help me to get the items figured out cheaper than the 800 bux ssbc wanted for the diskbrake kit.

Just picked up a 66 toro with maroon interior. How are the door panels particularly the pull handles and the arm rest portions?
Are the bumpers decent or spoken for?
I need wheel arch trim all four corners and the chrome trim from the passenger door bottom as well and the quarter panel bottom trim on the pasenger side.
Still have any of this left? Let me know!

does the car have power seat releases, if so I'd like the door jamb switches that is wired to the seat back release (not sure if those came in 66 though.

I'll take pictures of the door pads and arm rests.
The front bumper is decent it has a dent in the one outer section. THe wheel arch trim on this car is after market, self adhesive. The other car I have not picked up yet has the original wheel arch trim. The Pass door bottom trim is in good shape.
There is not any quarter panel bottom trim on this car, what's it look like maybe its stuck in a box.
PM me your email address and I'll send yo pictures.
Thanks Bruce

I'm not sure what your talking about? If you touch the front seat back release button do the seat backs automatically tilt forward.

Thanks Bruce
