I have a Type O axle in my 64 Olds, It is a code S9 from a 68-70 442. This is a factory 3:42 posi gear axle, it is clean with no rust or scale, you can read the S9 stamping on the axle tube through the black paint, excellent for a restoratio project. The posi works great, it is currently in the car and will lay down 2 perfect rubber patches and It has new axle bearings and seals and receint brakes. I am currently thinking about switching to a 9" ford or a 64-67 12bolt with 3:23 gears. I would like to get $1,300 for it, possible trade.
