Front grill repaint 71 cutlass

Hi I have a 71 cutlass and recently purchased some used front grills. I’d like to give them a fresh coat of paint since they are pretty rough. Can anyone suggest a good spray paint and just give me a brief rundown on how I should go about painting. I have experience paint metals but never plastic.

Krylon dull aluminum is generally accepted as the paint to use for grilles, headlight surrounds, and other plastic parts like that. Just be sure the parts are clean - use a pre-cleaner solution - and lightly sanded.

I refinished a set of '72 grills with paint I had matched to the tail light lenses. They came out pretty decent. They have been a box for the last 2 years waiting to be installed after the car is painted. Oh yes, there was quite a bit of time involved masking them. I also repainted the black portion around the perimeter and also where the "Oldsmobile" script goes.
