66 SSI wheel color

Good morning...can anyone advise me of the correct color black...ie shine/gloss for the lug nut area on the SSI wheels for a 66 442..thansk mark

According to the wiki site they were flat black. I have one that I don't think has been repainted, I could take a photo of if it would help. John

thanks john..that would be great...mine look to be flat in color and i donot think that is correct...

SSI Wheels

These need washed, but I think you can tell that there's no gloss to the paint. I've also included one picture with the codes. From the Wiki site I believe these are early ones made in 1966. John

I believe the black should be more like a satin black, not totally flat. Original paint will weather flat, so it can be very hard to be sure how it was originally.
