Paint Oppinions
I'm painting my 63 F85 in the near future, and was wondering if I could get some oppinions about them. First heres the pics. I'm thinking white with flat black hood like it is, or black with the flat black hood. Let me know which you prefer, why, and any other options you think I should consider. Thanks

If you could integrate some kind of hood scoop(functional of course), make it look "as factory could have" then did fwhite with flat black, that would be pretty cool...

I would say black on black but mabey take the flat over to the body line that runs up the fender as well as the cowl section.

I was actually planning on a functional hood scoop, but I forgot to mention it. I was thinking one of those small bolt on cowl's on backwards.

I always wanted to get one of those '63 f-85's and drop a 394 in it with a 3 on the floor(maybe period 4 spd) , do a functional ram-air(probably through the high beams), put a set of corvair briar van buckets (whatever that van/pickup was called), lighten it up, do a factory SS race car a'la Thunderbolt(sorry boys)...

I want to do quite a lot with her, but I'm in colledge for know, so I can't do too much at a time. Right now I'm doing shocks, springs, and dual exaust. In terms of a 394, I thought the same thing, but i cant fit a big block in it, but a 350 or 1 403 would work.

That reversed cowl scoop idea instantly reminded me of the hemi dart scoop cool idea
, not quite as huge as that but would give that old afx drag look. |

I love the car, I do like the idea of the ram air through the lights better then the hood scoop.
as for the flat black why make it look like a cobra torino when it can be a proud olds!! all one color IMHO... or maybe a nice two tone scheme? but all shiney LOL! good luck with her!!! Nice looking car. I haven't seen one of those in a long time. Given the list of choices you gave, I think that I would redo it the way you have it now. Good luck with it.
