'79 Hurst / Olds build sheet info

Thanks for welcoming me to your forum.
I have a '79 Hurst / Olds that I have been trying to decipher some of the option codes from the build / broadcast sheet. I am the 3rd owner of the car - an unrestored, numbers matching, original with 101,000 documented miles. It is the gold over white paint with white interior.
I have found info for the W-30 option on the car. Also listed is an option # Y-71, which I have no idea what it is. The car has AC, tilt wheel, cruise control, PS, PB, & a security system.
My vin# is 3K47R9M552117 , which I have been able to breakdown.
Can anyone help me get info to figure out the options on this car or does the Oldsmobile Historic Society maybe have a copy of the Dealer invoice ?
Any assistance will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks

For $50, you get a sweet package with build sheet info and lots of good stuff. Give them a call.

I believe Y-71 was a special stripes/paint scheme.

Welcome!

Where would I find the Buildsheet for my 79 H/O

Hi, I am trying to find the buildsheet for my 1979 Hurst Olds and I have had no luck finding it. I removed the back seats and the door panels to no avail. Any bidy have any suggestions.

Also, does anyone know if the original fabris is still available the car is an Arizona car with 54,000 miles and the body is in great shape but the car needs a headliner and seats recovered,. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Regards, Dave

' 79 Hurst Olds build sheet

Trans Am Dave,
The build sheet colud be located in many various places. The build sheet I have for my '79 H/O is not very descriptive & you need code numbers to decipher the info. Even with this info, not all equipment that was particular to a H/O will be listed. The H/O has many standard items as part of the W-30 package that were options to other vehicles.
The most conclusive info is from the dealer's invoice. You can go to the following site & for a $50 fee, they will forward you a copy of your dealer's invoice taken from actual GM files. You need to furnish your car's V.I.N. These people are very accomodating in providing info to you. You can request the dealer's invoice by phone or e-mail.

my contact was Stacy Lillard

If you would give me an e-mail contact, I will forward some information I have accumulated by research regarding standard features on the H/O.
Please feel free to contact me at: granrow@sonet.net
Have a great day & nice Easter. H0pe you enjoy your H/O.

Welcome to the site you guys. Hope you have luck in your respective projects. I always point people to Fusick or Kanter. Search the names and you will find their respective sites. They both have parts that help people restore their Oldsmobiles.

Are you asking about the one on the bottom of my signiture? If so, yes. It was my second Olds project, I used to drive it daily but now not so much. I drive the '76 Omega now, better gas mileage. If not, then sorry...
