Can anyone recommend good sites where these engines are discussed?

You could try realoldspower.com. They might be able to help you out with some repairs if that is what you are looking for. They are really into racing and building up Oldsmobile Power. The Diesel isn't a good candidate for that but they do have experience with them and would be willing to help out.
