Bought a '62 Cotner Bevington Combo Car with the 394 engine. The front of the motor was off at the time and was missing a few parts. One part missing was the water pump pully, but included one that was in the back. When I tried to put it on the water pump it hit. My question is, is there a spacer or something that goes between the water pump and the pully? Is there also a spacer or something that goes between the fan and pully? I am so friggin' confused right now. I thought the pully was the wrong one and ended up buying a new one, but it fits the same way. Any help PLEASE!!!

I will try to check with my son, He has a '64 98 and he rebuilt the 394 in it a number of years ago. I will really try to remember and get back with you. Otherwise, If you do use a spacer you have to be sure that the belts all line up with accessories they drive, as far as a spacer between the pulley and the fan, I would think clearance with the radiator and fan shroud would determine if that is possible, maybe one was used to bring the fan closer to the radiator for efficiency...
BTW, do you frequent the HAMB?
