I just recently purchased a 1970 98 Convertible and the car did not come w/ the correct fuel tank. Can anyone tell me what other years were compatible with this car and possibly any other makes and models?
Thanks, Ed |

Bad news. Hollander says that only 69-70 Ninety Eight tanks will fit, and that's if you don't have evaporative emissions control (the black plastic cannister under the hood with the hoses going to it. If you DO have EEC, then only the 70 tank from a 98 with EEC will work. Now, the differences between non-EEC and EEC are only the additional vent lines, and a competent shop can add these (or you can eliminate the EEC and use a vented gas cap with the non-EEC tank). Now, Hollander tends to be very conservative in their cross-references, so it's possible that other 69-70 C-body cars (Fleetwood and Electra) might work, but that's a risk. Sorry.
