Hello,I have a 1962 Starfire with a shot radiator. My question is will a over the counter 62-64 Impala radiator work in it's place. If I have the origianal radiator recorred it will cost me in the neighbor hood of 450 dollars. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks |

Offhand I'm thinking no because of hose positions and attachment to the core support. If you have a friend with that year Impala (and SS427 tells me you might), maybe you can measure the cores and tanks.
I guess you're a victim of California pricing and EPA regs, but I had the one for my 64 done for $235 3 years ago. I carried him two more myself plus a couple buds had him recore some, and we got a pretty good discount on the rest of the jobs- about $190 each, and one was a Toronado core. Tell us about this Z24. And no, I don't consider no damn Cavalier a Z24.
