Wheels 1964 Cutlass

Ok, I want to change the wheels on my 64 Cutlass to the SSII wheels. My question is should I go with 14X6 or 14X7 ? Is there any real benefit going to 14X7 over the 14X6?

Thanks,
Rich

Depends on the tire size you plan to use. Rule of thumb is that the rim width should be about equal to the tread width for optimal handling.

Ok Joe, I am thinking of using a P205 70 R 14 tire. So would a 14X7 be bbetter choice than 14X6 or will it not make any difference?

The 205/70-14 has about a 7" tread width. Either rim size will work fine, though personally I'd use the 7" rim.
