Air cleaner '55 Olds
My "55 Olds had a Batwing air cleaner, hence "had". For the mean time, need to throw on a replacement(as in a simple paper air cleaner). Have a 4bbl with a 4 1/8 inch neck. Suggestions where to find one. Most places sell air cleaners with 5" necks.
Thanks and1stp |

55 air cleaner
If you can find a batwing you can adapt it to a paper filter. I have done this on my 55 olds and it works fine It will rase the filter top about 1/2 inch.I could't find an adapter for the 4 1/2 inch carb throat, someone at some time must have made one but I couldn,t find anything now ....Tedd

Thank You for the reply. Picked up an air cleaner(chromy) for now with a 4 1/8 adapter ring. Works till I find the Batwing.
