How about this Olds?
Here is the auction. Take out a second on the house and she's yours!
Here are a few pics of the engine.

So nobody has an opinion about this? Interesting. I thought it was really cool, engine and car both.

I would think it would understeer like crazy. Having owned a Squeely Healy in my youth the statement that 'it even has a heater" seems odd to me. You don't need one because your feet are next to the engine and they are hot as Hades all year long. I still don't understand how the British own the Battle of Britian flying Spitfires with Lucas electric systems. ![]() I think I'll pass and hold out for a 69 W-30 convertible ![]()

No it isn't a newer V8, probably an older fifties vintage engine. Look at the oil fill tube, it is at an angle and the thermostat housing doesn't have the bypass like the modern V8s do. Also, it is very hard or next to impossible to get a three carburetor manifold for a newer V8.
Edit: and the generator too, although any newer engine could have been set up with one. I have even seen people dress up the exterior of an alternator to appear like a generator.

I was a a car show two weekends ago and got to talking to a guy with a build 32 ford with a flathead. He had an after market alternater that single wire alternater that looked just like a generator complete with a phoney second wire all hooked up thru a fake voltage regulator. Looked really cool. Darn didn't think to ask about the manufacture or where he purchased the kit.
