1963 Cruise Control

It's been a while since I've been around here. Sorry to be a stranger.

I am trying to gauge interest in machining replacement control unit parts for '63 Olds full size car cruise control. The control head includes a plastic housing and a plastic rod that together adjust the cruise unit. The plastic is typically brittle with age and I doubt that there are many out there that will last much longer I am looking into having these two parts made by a machine shop out of aluminum. There is a susbstantial prototyping cost, but after that is covered, the parts themselves should be reasonable. I'm estimating that I need at least nine other people to buy these in order for it not to be cost prohibitive.

So I am wondering how many people would be willing to plunk down a $50 deposit, and how many takers I would have at $150, $250 and $350 for these parts.

I hope it's not too obnoxious if I post this separately in the 98, 88 and Others threads simultaneously. Sorry if that bugs you.

Thanks.
