Original 3 speed on the column car WITH console (removed) and converted to 4 speed. Trying to figure out how this was done without modifying the floor / tunnel / hump. Aftermarket trans adaptor? And how about that trans?

Regardless, cool car! Love the description of the back seat.

Yes the bellhousing is aftermaket, factory units are cast iron. Also they don't have right pattern to bolt up a muncie. Doesent look like he butchered to floor either.

Its quite an unusual car. I bet it'd be a blast to drive. I know someone local to me with a '63 Dynamic88 394 / 3 on the tree car with chrome reverse wheels/baby moons and faux police spotlights, and its pretty cool. Put back to stock, or left as is, that Jetstar I is quite a piece of history. Pity there seems to be so little interest it it (just bought another car myself, and I am TAPPED OUT!).

From all I can see, the car looks to be in great shape.

I was thinking the same thing. I think he did a pretty good job.

OK, here's how:

Was at an indoor swap meet weekend before last in Allentown, PA, and a guy there specializing in vintage speed equipment had this adaptor. Clearly its not the exact piece used in that Ebay car (which seems to be more "rounded"), but the same concept I guess.

If I might be allowed to get off-topic, how was that swap meet? I considered going, but it's 3 hours each way.

Wasn't bad, but then I only drove about 1.5 hr each way. Also there was a local farmer's market attaching, and got some stuff there to bring home as well. Wife was pleased. Not sure it would have been worth driving 6 hrs all told, however. Not a heck of a lot of Olds stuff.
