electric wiper motor upgrade question

Will an electric wiper motor from a 55, 56, 57 Chevy fit my 56 Olds Ninety Eight? I want to use the existing wiper transmission and related stuff, just want to swap the motor.

Thanks!

Yes it will fit, but the mounting holes are in the wrong location. you need to fabricate an adapter plate. There is a guy on the internet that make the adapter plate. I look around and see if I can find his site again.

Well do I need the adapter plate? I don't mind drilling extra holes, since this is just a driver.

I believe its a little more complicated then that. I will find the site that explains it. There are after market units that are less expensive then the chevy motors they are also on the internet
