Greetings from the great white north capital, Ottawa, Canada!

New to CO but long time Olds guy. Restored a bunch of Olds over the years, including a couple of W30s & a W31. Currently finishing the restoration of a Canadian documented 1970 W30 4 speed coupe, original colors of white/red stripes.
CO seems to be a great site!

Welcome to Classic Olds from Ottawa.

So that is the car I missed seeing last year.

Maybe we should try and gather the Olds folks together again sometime this spring. And I'll make sure I'm free all day this time

Welcome! Ottawa is where I got all growed up. I've probably seen some of your older cars if they were at Cdn tire cruise nights on Sundays. Mind you, that was 20 years ago...
This is the best place I know of for info and support. Enjoy!

I'm pickin' up a couple parts from derek in 2-3 weeks. Fenders are on the way, i'm going to shim the car up and have it painted within the month. Not a super expensive job but hopefully something durable.

I should be good to roll by june.

I remember you mentioning it was a Canadian car, didn't know it was sold new in Ottawa.

When it's finished, are you going to take a picture of it in front of the dealership? Not the same as it would have looked in 1970, but still there.

Welcome aboard.

Do you also have the original docs that go with the car? If not, some of the information is available from GM Vintage Vehicle services. ONLY available for Canadian or exported to Canada cars, eh!

As Belisle just closed after about 50 years in business, hopefully the building will still be there this summer when the car should be finished so I can get a pic.

Also looking for a Belisle Chev/Olds delaership trunk emblem ??

No original docs but already have the GM of Canada doc & the owner VIP from the Ontario gov't. Also met the 3rd owner who gave me pics when he owned it - got a line on the original owner, so hopefully I can contact him.
