1970 Cutlass S

I just discovered this forum, I have owned a 1970 Cutlass S for about 10 years now. I was lucky enough to find a virtually rust free car. I promply replaced the 2 barrel intake and carb with an Edle setup. After a few years I rebuilt the front end, new ball jts, bushings and springs and shocks all around. I added a rear sway bar. After a few more years I had it stripped and repainted. The previous owner added duel exhaust.

I may switch to an iron intake and Q jet carb as I have always had Q jets in the past. I am still running a points ignition. The exhaust will need to be replaced next spring. I am also in the process of finding a body shop to do some minor paint maintanance. The car has 78,000 miles

I had one of those. A 1970 Post 350/350 2.56 posi. Nice looking ride. It needs a hood though. With the wing it just seems like something is missing to me .

The wing was installed by a previous owner. One thing I have to do is seal the trunk gutter I need to find a shop that will sandblast the gutter prime and seal as well as remove the back window and check the window channel. The car is in great condition but I have to pay attention to a few things. The graveyard makes for a nice open space for photos, better than a parking lot or driveway.

You may choose the form of the Destructor

The wood wheel is aftermarket installed by a previous owner. It's nice so I kept it. I have the original wheel which is in just OK condition.

Great looking car - I like graveyard shots and graveyards in general. They should be the safest places to be, since everyone is dead...

That is a clean looking motor - looks like resto should pretty minor.

will you allow Rob to be buried in Lady in your grave yard? Don't want him to get lonely on the long ride

There are a numer of cool old cemetaries around here, I explore them often. Many of my joy rides in the Cutlass are to my favorite graveyards south of Boston. This one is an old favorite near my house. The brick building way in the background is my old elementary school. Sylvanious Thayer, Father of West Point is buried here. My resto is almost done, just have to do preventative maintenance and put on a couple pieces of trim.

It WILL be a long ride to there for sure. Need to get the A/C fixed before then also - it will be quite hot.....

My bike club does big rides around each halloween to explore numerous country cemetaries (Haunted HOG). Once at a site, you are also supposed to locate certain stones or people/ghosts also. The biggest rule is that is MUST be at night!
Way cool.....
