Myself

I don't have anything for sale. I don't want help justifying an inflated price for my all original, fully restored, one-of-a-kind Oldsmoracermobile.
(stuff I've seen in the Newbie Forum).
I do have fond memories of 20 years driving my wife's 1972 Cutlass S 350/350. Great car. Classic lines of the GM A body (my personal weakness).
Incredible performance from the Rocket, with a humble Rochester 2 barrel.
Yes,a great car, but a magnet for gross vehicular assault. The insurance company finally "Totaled" it. I sold the engine to a guy for his Vista Cruiser to run while he built a 455 for it. I still have the TH350 (more on that another time). Sheet metal was without merit but the rolling carcass provided my Chevelle with control arms (as I recall) and brakes and the rest went to a local Olds wizard who transformed it into something else altogether. Now that's GREEN!
My wife is still looking for a replacement for her white Rocketsled - with A/C, Thank You.
I also have a 1968 F85 that is the immediate reason for joining this site, to share and learn.

Bluevista, the tranny is going into the F85. The Jetaway that is coming out I would part with.

Welcome to the site! When you have time please post pictures of your F85. Also, if you get to the point of needing help with problems or parts it's helpful to put the city/state in your profile. Who knows, there may be someone with the experience or the part you need in the next town! John

Yes!
I actually complain (to myself) of this problem all the time on this and other forums.
It should almost be a requirement upon membership.

Just my 2 cents

Glad to add info as I find I am able. First time I tried to edit the profile, I couldn't. So Cal is where I live. If the picture posts, that's the bluffs over La Jolla.

4 out of 5 ain't bad

Ya want 'em, ya love 'em, understand 'em OK, know a bit about how to take care of 'em, but ya can't quite afford em. Gals or cars - 4 out of 5!

It can also mean close but no cigar in other ways. Like the effort to get all the parts together at one time, so that the Rocket can go in, get buttoned up and fired for break-in all in one weekend. But alas, the headers looked like they were welded by nine- year- olds being forced to take shop class against their will, and there was a quarter - inch hole in the #3 cylinder header tube. O well, close. Probably couldn't have finished anyway. At least I have a good excuse!!!!

By the way, thanks for the welcoming words.
Now I need some kind of cool quote to add to my profile. I'll work on it.
