Those lousy vinyl tops, what a bummer.
Depends on how much money you want to spend and the condition of the rest of the car. I would find a clean car or body shell and take everything off that and swap it over then go from there, just R & R really. If there is enough on that one good to make it worthwhile that is. Be cheaper than trying to fix that. That would need a donor car roof at the least to fix it right.

Find another can and use this one for a parts car. Sorry about the bad luck.

Yep... that is exactly how mine is going to look when I rip my vinyl top off. I can feel it all crunchy n soft underneath, especially on the sides below where the CS emblems go. Dealer installed vinyl top though.

Good luck with that. I am not even sure how I will tackle mine when I get to that part.

Why? If it is just the roof, then replace the roof or that part of the roof.

I am going to do whatever I can to fix my crappy roof. My trunk is even completely rotted out. The car has sentimental value though, so it is worth the extra effort.

Have you checked the frame for rust. I hope you don't do all this work and then find the frame is as rusty as the top.

I have seen total rust-buckets restored to showcars that make dhartley's rust-free!
LOTS of work but doable with enough time, patience, and $$$.

Dhartley - how are you doing on this?
