My 66 Delta 88
I had posted an update in the paint section because I finally got the thing painted, but I guess it should have been posted here. It definitely qualifies as a "major build". Some of you guys helped me with some engine issues probably nearly a year ago and I promised updates. i didn't forget, It's just been going very slowly. Here she is as of this week.

No interior yet. It's in the works right now. Probably going to be black on black with red trim, but it's not finalized yet. I'll let you know soon. I hope. We're also building custom trunk panels that will house the stereo and a console that will house the touch screen dvd/navigation system as well as the gauges. It will be a while yet, It's hard to find enough time in the day.

Thanks guys. This week we swapped the coil springs for some from an 85 Cutlass. It put me about 4 inches lower in the rear & 3 in the front. Hopefully ride quality won't suffer too bad this way and if I don't like it I can put it right back.
Put new drums, hoses & cylinders on the brakes, a shift kit in the 400, a new switch for the torque converter/kickdown and a new speedo cable. I lucked out on some of the parts I needed. My local mechanic hooked me up with another local mechanic that has a decent collection of Olds & parts cars lying around. I'll see what he has & make sure he doesn't mind if I post his number on the board, if he's not already on here. |
