dash restoration 72 cutlass convertible

I want get suggestions on re-painting the silver boarders around the dash and AC outlets. Has anyone done this and how did it turn out? What paint and color did you use and where did you buy it? thank you! Ed

I think I found what I need. Silver/chrome sharpie paint at the hobby store. good solvent to clean off any armorall and I understand it will look great.

I bought mine at Walmart in the cafts/stationary dept. make sure you get the wide tip. You do not want to struggle with going over it twice. I found practice makes perfect and when you do get started start with small items like ac vents or the glove box.

Almost forgot. The pen I got was made by Elmer's and is called silver.

Also I did mine with the dash off. Might not be as easy if still in car

The Parts Place and other places sells a "chrome" paint marker. I used a Terstors silver or metallic silver paint marker and it worked well. Years ago Terstors use to sell a chrome paint marker and it worked very well, I use to use it on my model cars lol.
