Post Seat cover repair questions..

Last year on my Ninety Eight I did some overzealous cleaning taking the seats out and apart. In trying the process I busted one of the zippers on the seat back thinking I could zip it back up (had it open to air dry). It ended up jamming and damaging the teeth and I cut the whole thing out. Typical stuff that happens to me.
My question is, if I remove the seat cover and take it to an upholstery shop, is sewing a new zipper on a big deal or expensive?

It shouldn't be a big deal for a competent shop. Expensive ? Depends on the shop.

Replacing the zipper should not be a big deal as long as the material surrounding it is serviceable.

That's good to know. When I went to rezip it and it broke I was quite upset. Surrounding material is good, what's visible in the pic is what's left of it, I cut the teeth off with scissors leaving the black strips. I'll probably pop the headrest off and remove the entire cover so they can get it in a sewing machine when the time comes.
