Power strato buckets are always more $. If they're overhauled / restored? Even more. Also factor in shipping and you could be looking at 800 - 1000? Anyway just a guess...

Power strato buckets

Well, I ended up with them for $527 shipped.
The belt is off the motor and that has not been tested so maybe that put some of the bidders off.
They are white Buick GS seats that are '69-71 but I intend to make up some brackets and use them in my '66 Toronado.
The covers look really nice, I wonder if they would be marketable as covers only, seems a shame to have them go to waste.
I intend to do the seats in a material called ultraleather which is a super soft, long wearing product used in boats and other commercial applications.

Bench test the motors and see if they work. If they do, sounds like you scored a great deal. I saw you already asked if the A51's would fit. Hope they work out the way you expect. Got any pics of the dash you were working on? I think it was your thread???

Strato buckets

Hi Allen,
Thats what I was thinking, I'm pretty sure the motors will be repairable or available if I need them.
As for the dash, I got sidetracked in the fall as I decided to build a second SBC for my antique (1965) wood boat before heading south for the winter. Both motors have run well but I have had to put new heat exchangers on both motors (like a radiator, but sea water to antifreeze cooling) re-seal one transmission, and this last week I've been stuck in Titusville, FL waiting for a reman trans to show up for the other side after I fused the clutch pack when a seal blew.
This stuff makes fixing old cars seem kind of inexpensive and simple..
The other thing I have been working on of a Hydraulic roller setup for the engine, almost there, the first cam had a bit too much base circle so after doing a mockup we have a good set of numbers to work with for the next one.
All this and I have not even seen my garage since late November.
Hope to be back at it in May sometime..
