67 Cutlass/442 Accelerator Technical Information needed
I need some "technical help".
My 67 Cutlass/442 has an accelerator that attaches to the floorboard sheet metal of car (with two screws if I'm not mistaken) and pushes against a lever that has a little roller on it, and the lever then goes through the firewall, to a bell crank, to push/pull the throttle rod.
This is an automatic car.
Two questions:
-Did 67 Cutlass or 442 come with a 'hanging/suspended' accelerator that the accelerator is actually attached to the rod (i.e. not attached to the floorboard).
-Is there any difference between a 4 speed and automatic ACCELERATOR? (not the bell crank assembly, but the actual accelerator in the interior of the car)
Thanks for help. I've got a lot of people saying the 67 does not have a hanging accelerator and one person telling me they did.
Thanks,

No hanging pedal for 67, the stick cars did not have the switch on the firewall mounted linkage so there is a different on for manual trans. The floor mounted pedal is pushed on to ball mounts and just pulls off.
