Glass Installation--Driver Door 55 2 DR Holiday Hdtp

I ordered a piece of OEM sand blasted glass to replace cracked one. Found that the new OEM glass is about 1mm thinner than the original. I can't get it to fit and hold steady in the channels or to line up with rear window for seal. I'm told that all of the new glass is this way. Anyone have a solution? Thanks for your help.

If It's a 4 door, there is a 4 door parts car on here for free. Message them. Their screen name is Tamiob

If the glass is mounted in a chrome frame then glass setting tape is used on the glass and the frame assembled around the glass....the tape comes in different thicknesses.....some say that you can also assemble the glass in the frame with black silicone and razer off the excess after it cures.

Thanks for responding. The glass seems to be mounted in the metal frame OK. It's when I roll the window up that the fame/glass don't line up with rear window. Any other thoughts? Thanks, John

There should be adjustments for tilt/in/out on the window assemblies. The adjusters are behind the door panels and side panels interior. I am assuming that the doors line up when closed and its just an adjustment for the window.
