I've got a 65 Olds 98 and I picked up an AM/FM radio with the rear seat reverb setup. The service manual doesnt give a good picture about how and where the switch is mounted. I know from the person who removed the radio, that it is located center dash below the HVAC controls. But my dash doesnt seem to have a mounting place for it.
Can anyone out there tell me anything about how the switch is actually mounted? Is there a hole that is drilled into the dash? (Really hope not!) Any help or pictures would be great |

My son owns a '64 98 with that option. The switch in his car is near the center of the dash, below the overhang. As I recall, it is actually on a horizontal surface FACIND DOWN but I will have to double check on that. His car is stored at my place right now

The 65 and 66 are the same...
If the reverb was factory installed the switch was in the bottom side of the dash pad. If the reverb was dealer installed it was in the bottom of the dash just to the right of the drivers side ash tray.
