1970 Four Speed Center Console Question

Greetings: I have a 1970 Cutlass Convertible that is an automatic with the center console. I am considering a change to a manual transmission in this car. Do I need to find a center console for a manual transmission? Or, is it possible to convert this auto console to the manual type. Thanks in advance for any response!

It's the same console. The hole is trimmed differently for 4 speed, auto and Dual Gate. I'll see if I can scare up the diagram on where to trim for each application.
