1971 Olds 88/98, 60/40 seat
Welcome to the site, because of spam problems we require 5 posts before you can move around in the other forums. Tell us about your car and your plans for it. You will soon reach your 5 posts then you can post in the other fourms. I will copy this post to parts wanted for you so you can get better coverage.

I have a 1971 Olds 98 2 dr. H.T., originally a N.C. car. In Family since 1990. I have been slowly restoring and I am at a point where the interior will be coming along soon. The current bench seat is in very nice shape but fabric needs replacement. I would prefer a 60/40 seat. I have to be mindful to stay within budget. By the time I am finished restoring this car, I will have more money in it then it is worth. I plan on placing an ad in OCA Magazine (I am a Member of OCA). I am also a Member of local Olds Club in Upstate N.Y. I found your Forum by chance. I am still relatively new to the internet. Thanks for help, Land Yacht |

I am also a member of OAC and the Puget Sound chapter. You will find a lot of Olds information on this site and a bunch of friendly people as well.
Post some pictures. We like before, during, and after the build photo's. Small budget builds have some of the best information about obtaining parts. Looking foward to more info. ![]()

71-76 Ninety Eight or Electra 60/40 seat will fit and will probably also have electric seat back release. Cadillac seats have a high backrest that the Olds and Buick don't use. You'll need the floor brackets for both sides and if the donor car was a power passenger side, the wiring associated with that.

I know that Buick would be a good bet. Pontiac and Chevy lower priced cars, not much chance of finding one. Thanks for the reminder on brackets and extras for passenger side. Land Yacht |

Hello,
Waiting for car to be painted. Family member painting (it has been a long wait) I have already attended 2 Olds Nationals (no Olds). As far as parts, I have been lucky to become friends with a wonderful couple in Ohio. They have several Olds cars from the 50's and 70's. The few parts I needed I was able to obtain from them (except seat). It would be nice to find the 60/40 seat. Land Yacht |
