Kick Panel Removal - Please Help

I must be missing something - how do you remove the driver's side kick panel on a Non A/C 72 442? The parking brake pedal assy seems to be in the way - do you have to remove it to pull the old one out?

Thanks,
Joe Munoz

I do. It makes it alot easier to remove the screws, and only takes 5 minutes. There are 2 nuts under the hood kind of below the brake booster. Remove them and the one holding the assembly under the dash. 3/8? Just pull it back and a little out of the way and remove the cover on the kick panel. Now you can see the mounting screws and have easier access. Be carefull around the fuse block when moving the cable attached brake. Pull the ground on the battery. Good luck!
