Carb Question

Howdy all,

I've got a `70 W-30 in need of a carb. The one that's currently on the car is off of a `72 Olds 350 (7042250) and has been rebuilt a couple of times. I don't want to bother having this thing rebuilt again--it just dumps gas into the manifold now--and I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a good aftermarket carb that would quickly and easily swap into the place of the old one. Something maybe in the range of 750cfm? The car is all stock. Suggestions appreciated.

I completely missed your post or would have welcomed you to our site and recommended you contact 70Wcars, he may be able to help you out with your carburetor problem.

Welcome

Welcome aboard.

IMHO if it's all stock, I'd keep it all stock. I like the way Q-jets work. And I've tried others. Carbs of course are a great way to start a lenghty discussion of different opinions.

x2 to that thot....from reviewing carb posts on this and other Olds sites,it seems to be roughly an 80% to 20% split endorsing Q-jets over others for a number of reasons[independant of the whole"stock" issue]...derek
