Not the real deal

Hate to be the Ebay police, but I had so much fun picking that car apart the other day. Don't even know where to start on this one.

On second thought I do know where to start.
Cutlass S hood, wrong motor (unless 400s came with stamped valve covers and an EGR valve), Wrong upholstery, Missing rocket emblem on inside door panels...
It may have been a 442 body but everything else is wrong. I'm not posting this just to nitpick, I want folks to not be mislead. Such as don't say its a 400 motor when its clearly a 1973 or so 350.

I personally like the lack of 6.00 worth of pedal pads and the deck lid fit. I small child could get in through that LH 1/4 to deck lid gap

Paint right over the door latches is a nice touch too. Oh yea do you check out the rattle can spray paint over the rusty frame? I better stop now someone might not think its a nice car.

Man check out those rusty rear seatbelts and rust dust all over the rear seat

If you are going to do a "get quick money" resto.. Hide stuff like that..

How about the jippo rad hose's
steering wheel
kick panel paint
dash panel paint w/rust spots
no arm rest chrome base plates
no radio
rear seat arm rest base plates and arm rest on backwards
California plates

Hood looks right but shouldn't have Olds script

N-34 steerng wheel is correct for 69 but wrong color

Missing seat chrome piping

With all due respect, the guys not hiding anything

never seen a worst job on headrest

Aftermarket tac [insted of tic toc]

All good points. But it's still a nice looking car. And probably worth 10-12 easy.
Don't like that frame? You should see mine!
When looked it over, I was pretty impressed, although a bit confused by the rust-colored pedals and seat bottoms. When the rust seat bests were pointed out, I had a flash-back. And the headrests look bad when I noticed those. And I'd be pretty worried about being told that it was a 400. All said, still a nice car.

It is a nice car but someones going to win that auction thinking they got a high compression 300+ h.p. correct 442 motor only to find out its a low compression low h.p. 350 smog motor.

Fresh paint with no regard for any details screams inches of bondo right over rust. Anyone willing to give 11-12 sight unseen for that car will get taken to the cleaners. Much better off buying a crusty original so you can see what your are getting. I would be willing to put money that one is still crusty under the nice fresh whit paint.

Personally, I'd never buy any car sight unseen unless it was for next to nothing. I meant that if the car checked out, was drivable, etc., it could be worth that much. And probably would be to someone. I've been burned to some degree on maybe a third of the used items that I've bought on eBay (like stereo stuff). Paying a couple of hundred for a piece of equipment that is really only worth 50 (something in need of repair & not mentioned, etc) is a risk I am sometimes willing to take. But, thousands on a car? No way!
Apparently some people are willing to....
