64 Starfire wiring
I have a 64 Starfire in desperate need of new wiring.
The existing harness is melted in a few spots and I am tired of patching it. I plan on using the existing wiring harness and making a copy of it to replace the existing one. Does anyone know where I could get a new fuse panel and i need to replace many of the connectors also. I am sure I don't know what I am getting myself into..... but what the heck i am going to give it a shot. I would appreciate any advice if anyone here has done this before. Thanks |

I am not sure if Fusick or Kanter sell wiring harnesses but you might check with them. Or you could go the the after-market route and buy something from someone like Painless.

You can remove the terminals from the connectors using a small jeweler's screwdriver to depress the lock tabs. I find that most people don't like dealing with wire harness. Personally I enjoy it.

Thanks for the info.
My fuse block is not melted but it is in rough shape due to water damage. It is very rusty. I will see if I can clean it up a bit after I remove it. I will get a better idea of what shape it is in after it is removed. If I replace the original fuse panel will that take away from the cars originality and lower the value? |
