1972 Brake booster

I am restoring my engine comapartment and I am trying to find out the correct finish of the Delco brake booster on a 72 Cutlass S with drum brakes is it gold or gray?

I believe the correct finish is a cadnium plate.

Yea, cadmuim plated. The eastwood company used to sell a kit that came with I think 3 spay cans in an attempt to duplicate the plating. Its not true but looks pretty close.

The difference is that cad plate is a coating applied to the metal. The Eastwood kit is just paint. There are places that will correctly reapply the cad plating... for a price.
