fast shifting
i have a 350 hydrotrans hooked to a 350 motor in a 72 cutlass supreme and by the time i get to 60 im all shift out it shifts real fast and drinks gas on tht interstate and if i mash the gas after 60 it doesnt kickdown for a quick acceleration is it broke or thats just how it goes ?

Well, you might be comparing modern cars with four speeds which have an overdrive to your '72. I think you should be in third gear by 60mph. It is possible your car has been modified by a previous owner and it may have a steeper rear end ratio which would cause what you precieve. Also, you mentioned the kickdown not working, is the linkage hooked up?
