Smile Merry Christmas to everyone

Probably a little late as I should have thought of this a week ago.

Merry Christmas to all!

So before everyone sets out on their long holiday weekend, I also want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.
There are many of you who had helped me out in many ways, whether it was providing parts, advice, laughter, or just encouragement
to keep going when times were less than ideal...
--Thank you very, very much and I really do appreciate it! You all know who you are; I just hope you are reading this...
So before you all get too engrossed in the eating, the gifts, the family & friends, etc, be sure to take a moment
to sneak out to the garage (or wherever), and remember that beloved machinery of yours... Whether it has been good to you this
year, or has gotten the best of you (or worst), it still deserves a little attention over the holidays...
Better yet if you can drive your Olds to your family holiday gathering. We down in the south are usually lucky enough to do so.
I recently told my lady friend Alice that it will be "lovely weather for an Olds ride together with you"!! And it was! (See video and pics).
We will take Lady to our family gathering. It will be frigid, but the top will be up and heated seats on!
For those who are snowed in, please enjoy the white winter wonderland for me and use the time to plan out for spring.
May the upcoming new year bring us more and more progress on those projects that move us!
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Joyous new year!

The video was shot 12-21-09, when on a 200 mile country drive in my highly neglected 86 Cutlass coupe. The year old gas had to be
disposed of and this was the best way to do it... (The red light on the dash just meant the alarm was disabled).
The Christmas lights are from Deerfield in Plano, taken on 12-19.

I cannot believe you Oldsmobile people have gone thru THIRTEEN POSTS and not wished each other Happy "Holidays"!

Yes, I always wish folks a Merry Christmas, but in Oldsworld, "Holidays" are always something special!

Oldsmobile was the only carmaker who retained their original nomenclature for a hardtop from the first one in 1949 till the last one in 1976. They then continued the name for high-line sporty versions of 88s and Cieras.

Everyone else had dropped their original hardtops' names or diminished their stature by the mid-60s. Not Olds!

Excellent point. At first I thought your comment was going to be some PC malarky. Glad it wasn't.

That's the spirit! If you can't drive it due to weather, at least start 'er up and pretend! A little rum in that cocoa sounds good!

Thanks Chad. I'd hate to see CO get flagged so I can't view it at work. Pretty sure it was a bot but either way that was a bold sob to post all that instead of just posting links.

I get that occasionally on a couple of my forums. Something they seem to be doing now is using sweatshop human "bots" to bypass the assorted mechanical defences admins put in place.

Considering how well locked down CO is in that regard, the spammer had a lot of followthrough.

Frustrating!

Just for my information. It must have been a spammer that posted something inappropriate. Since the post has been deleted permanently and banned there is no trail for me to follow, perhaps Paul could but I can't. So, anyway, who was he? I probably just approved him this morning and was just wondering.
