A few car show pics.
Just a few pics from the Homer, Il Krazee Dayz Car Show. The pristine '36 Olds belongs to Mike Lane of Danville, Il. He suits up for every show. Him and the Tommy Gun! And the price of the car brand new in '36 was $665. And for you European fans....The '67 Porsche 912 was 10,000 times better looking in person. Only 2,000 were imported into the U.S. in '67. Next would be my '73 Cutty. To the right of it and just barely in the pic is a '39 Plymouth (?) Can't remember exactly) built by Boyd Coddington Hot Rods. And finally the '67 442. This poor car had a hard life. I spent about an hour talking with the owner. He had to replace both front fenders, full rear quarters, part of the floor, and (this was amazing) part of the main structure of the passenger side firewall and where the passender door mounts, all due to rust. All from donor cars. It was originally a 400/automatic car with A/C. It had a 455/auto and no A/C in it's current configuration. I applaude the guy, because personally I would have a hard time making a commitment to save a car that bad off. But I'm glad there are guys out there that are that passionate about our hobby.
