Any one got any tricks up their sleeve for palleting a rear end for freight shipment when you don't have a banding kit? Let's hear your ideas. Any and all suggestions welcome and appreciated!

go to wal mart and buy there cheep little ratchet strap kit. they aren't that much money and come with 4. you can use two of them for the rear end and keep the other two. i would charge him a little more for shipping to cover the ratchet straps. i can't remember but think ther are around $13.

Often if you look at how farm equipment and the like is packed into a shipping container, they use those cheapo straps to hold the smaller stuff immobile. They work well. Ace hardware might have them in their bargain bin for a couple bucks though, might be worth checking out.

I can't believe I didn't think of that....I use those straps all the time in my job...duh!! Anyhow, I'm on the receiving end on this one so I'm just gonna send some straps along with my payment and they'll come back to me on the pallet. Thanks guys!

You can go to Home Depot or Lowes or a hardware store and get a small roll of plumbing tape. It is the stuff they use to support pipes and is just a soft and fexible roll of tin with holes in it. Take some screws and strap it down.
