'68 W31 Post Production?

Viewing a W31 car on another site today reminded me of the good ol' days when my daily driver was a '69 442 Post car but before I'd bought my '70 442 Post..
One day a guy flagged me down and got me to follow him to his farm where I made a deal w/ him for a couple 68's and a load of parts..
One of them was a W31-F85 Post stick car w/ a racing past that was well beaten so I sold the original big balancer motor, kept the posi/stick parts and scrapped the car..
I had no idea then or thoughts to care about how many 'little 350' cars were built but feel sick now seeing W31 F85 Post production was something like 38 units?!.
Is this # true?.

"Who'd have thunk....."
Face it, we would have been eccentric (at best, more like crazy) to think we needed to hang on to any of our hotrods.
And realistically, it would have taken a lot of money, time, and effort to keep them in nice shape all these years.
But worst of all, we would have had to stop driving the all the time!
