Chicagoan edition Oldsmobiles

I received the following the other day. Can anyone answer this? I can't find anything.

Dear Sir:

My 64 year old Dad was telling me that in 1969 he saw two "Chicagoan" edition Oldsmobiles that were either Olds 98 or 88 models. I am relatively certain that theses would have been Dealer created editions for the Chicago market. I can find NOTHING at all about these cars on the internet & was hoping that perhaps you could provide some info.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Ken, I'm not sure if Olds was doing any regional cars in '69. Sure, any *dealer* could make his own "special edition". I've not heard of any '69s, but that doesn't mean there weren't any.
I've only heard of regional cars starting in the '70s, like these:

There is an RMO cutlass at my local junkyard. Looks to just be a dealership striping and lettering kit.
Still kind of neat though.

Could he perhaps be remembering the 68 Chicago Auto show Cutlass Mod-Rod cars?.
And who could forget the Mod-Chicks!.
